What information helps you prepare an accurate quote?

Send the property address, a contact name, your preferred timing, and whether the lot needs a refresh or a new layout. Photos, a marked-up site plan, line lengths, and quantities of arrows or other markings help us understand the scope. Tell us about sealcoating dates, access restrictions, and any work that must be completed in phases.

Can I send photos if I do not know my measurements?

Yes. Use the optional photo fields on our quote request form. Include a wide view of the lot and close-ups showing line visibility, pavement condition, curbs, and special markings. Photos help us review the project, but we may still need measurements or a site visit before confirming a final quote.

How do I measure linear feet of parking lines?

Add the actual length of each line to be painted, counting each physical line once. A line shared by two parking spaces is still one line. Keep different line widths separate, and include crosshatching or other line work in the appropriate width. Count arrows, symbols, words, and digits separately. Do not estimate from the number of spaces alone; stall layouts vary.

How does the instant cost estimator work?

Our cost estimator uses your line lengths, widths, work type, lot condition, extra markings, travel information, and additional visits to produce a rounded total budget range. It is a planning tool, not a binding quote. We review your measurements and project details before confirming the scope and final price. Specialty stencils and preparation need a separate review.

What is the difference between restriping and a new layout?

Restriping follows an existing layout when the markings are visible enough to use as a guide. A new layout involves establishing the marking locations again, such as on new asphalt or where old lines are mostly hidden. If you want to change the layout, send a plan or explain the changes so we can review them before quoting.

Can you stripe after paving or sealcoating?

Yes. Share the paving or sealcoating contractor’s schedule and the surface-ready date. The surface needs to be ready for the specified marking material before we start. We coordinate timing with your project rather than assuming every new surface is ready after the same number of hours.

How should I prepare the parking lot?

Plan for vehicles, trailers, and other obstacles to be removed from the work area. Tell us about loose debris, dirt, vegetation, oil spots, or flaking paint that may affect the work. We will confirm what preparation is needed and who is responsible for it. Scraping, removal, and additional preparation are not automatically included in a basic striping estimate.

Can the work be split into phases or completed outside normal business hours?

Tell us when the lot can be made available and which entrances or areas must stay accessible. We stripe at all hours as needed, with scheduling arranged for each project. Phased work or a return trip may require additional mobilizations; include these in the estimator or your quote request so they can be considered.

How do weather and surface conditions affect scheduling?

Rain, moisture, temperature, and the condition of the pavement can affect when marking work can proceed. We review conditions for the materials and project rather than promising a fixed weather threshold for every job. Share any deadline or reopening requirement when requesting a quote, and allow room for weather-related schedule changes.

When can vehicles return to the painted areas?

Reopening time depends on the marking material, pavement, and weather during the job. Wait for the project-specific instructions before removing barriers or allowing traffic over the markings. A surface that looks dry may not yet be ready for vehicle traffic. We will discuss access and reopening as part of the project.

Do you handle arrows, accessible symbols, curbs, and other markings?

Include quantities and photos of the markings you need: accessible symbols and backgrounds, arrows, crosswalk blocks, words, digits, curb painting, bollards, curb stops, and light pole bases. Custom stencil designs and unusually complex work need review. For layout changes, provide any approved plans or property requirements so we can discuss the marking scope.

Why might the final quote differ from the instant estimate?

The range depends on what you enter. Measurements, hidden lines, layout complexity, preparation, specialty markings, travel, access, or return visits may change the scope. We will review these details with you before the final quote; the instant tool does not reserve a work date.

Where do you work?

Most of our projects are in the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro, within roughly 30–40 miles of Minneapolis. We also consider projects farther away. Send the address and scope so we can confirm scheduling and travel requirements.

What are your business hours?

For calls and quote inquiries: Monday–Saturday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Central Time; closed Sunday. Striping work is scheduled at all hours as needed. You can submit a website inquiry at any time.
